Senokot (generic: sennosides) is an over-the-counter medication used to treat constipation.

Senokot belongs to a group of drugs called stimulant laxatives, which work by increasing activity of the intestines to cause a bowel movement.

This medication comes in tablet form and is usually taken 1 to 2 times a day.
