Roflumilast is a prescription medication used to decrease the number of flare-ups or the worsening of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). Roflumilast belongs to a group of medications called phosphodiesterase inhibitors. It is thought to work by decreasing inflammation in the lungs.
This medication comes in tablet form and is usually taken once a day, with or without food.
Common side effects include diarrhea, weight loss, nausea, and headache.
