Healthy Eating and Diet Health Center

To start eating more healthy foods, you must first evaluate your current diet. Sometimes people find it helpful to keep a food "diary" that keeps track of every meal a person has had, every day. This makes it easier to see where you are not in line with your diet and allows you to see what you really put in to your body. A food diary can be a great way to see if you are truly eating when you are hungry, or for other reasons.

A food diary can help keep yourself and your eating habits in check, allowing you to make sure you maintain an adequate balance, variety, and moderation during every meal.

You can also try to plan your meals ahead of time. For example, if you've kept track of your eating habits for one full week, sit down and determine what you need to change. For the following week, make a meal list of everything you will eat, and try to stick to it. A food diary combined with a meal plan can be extremely effective.
