Whole grains, which include whole wheat, buckwheat, oatmeal and brown rice among others, are grains that haven’t had their bran and germ removed. Eating these grains can reduce levels of C-reactive protein, a sign of inflammation linked to rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, heart disease and diabetes.
