Tips for Living with Type 2 Diabetes

Make Time to Exercise!

Exercise is an important way to manage and lower your blood glucose levels. It can also help your medications work more effectively. Aerobic activity may help your insulin work better and improve your blood flow. Combined with healthy eating, working out regularly can also help you shed a few pounds, if that’s what your doctor recommends. Just 30 minutes five days a week can help. If you’re still struggling to fit that in, small changes to your daily routine, such as taking the stairs, can also help. If you’re ready to start your exercise routine, talk to your doctor about what will be right for you and your lifestyle.
