NHL Players Who Give Back

Wayne Gretzky

After going pro at the mere age of 17, Gretzky ended up becoming one of hockey’s greatest players. Gretzky was deemed the most valuable player on several occasions, winning the Hart Memorial Trophy nine times. He also has held the record for highest scoring player in the league seven times. Although retired in 1999, Wayne Gretzky continues to serve as a role model through his charity work with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which helps grant the wishes of children living with life-threatening conditions, such as cancer and multiple sclerosis.
