Praxbind

Praxbind is a prescription drug used to reverse the blood-thinning effects of the medication Pradaxa for emergency situations. Praxbind belongs to a group of drugs called reversal agents, which work by binding to the drug compound to neutralize its effect. This medication is available as an injection to be given directly into a vein by a healthcare professional. Common side effects include low potassium (hypokalemia), confusion, constipation, fever and pneumonia. Praxbind is the first reversal agent available for the blood-thinner Pradaxa.
