Health Benefits of Cycling

It Lowers Injury Risk

According to Men’s Health, compared to running, cycling has a lower injury risk — with an average 6 injuries per 1,000 hours for biking versus an average of 11 injuries per 1,000 hours for running. In order to minimize your risk of injury, always wear a helmet, make sure your bike is fitted for your height, obey traffic laws, and be aware of cars and trucks on the road. When cycling, make sure your leg is also slightly bent when the pedal is at its lowest point.
