Foods to Avoid During Pregnancy

Raw Dough

Who can resist licking the spoon while making cookies? Although it may be delicious, eating raw batter should be avoided if you’re expecting. Cookie dough, brownies and cakes are all made with raw eggs, which can contain salmonella before baking. Salmonella can cause nausea, vomiting, fever and chills, among other nasty symptoms. To keep both you and your baby healthy, avoid anything that could have raw eggs in it. Fully-baked cookies and other sweets are still okay to eat in moderation, however.
