Flu Vaccine Q&A
I just got over the flu, but I am feeling the same symptoms again. Can you get the flu back-to-back?

If you’ve just recovered from the flu and are experiencing symptoms again, there are a few explanations. One is simply that flu symptoms can sometimes linger and come back after you think they’ve left. This varies from patient to patient. Another explanation is that you have an entirely new bout of the flu. The flu virus is constantly changing, making you susceptible to a new strain of the flu at any time. If your symptoms persist or worsen, talk to your doctor. Read the full answer from Anyssa Garza, PharmD.
