Alternative ADHD Treatments

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder — commonly known as ADHD — is a chronic condition that usually affects children, but can also follow them into adulthood. ADHD patients may have difficulty paying attention, and issues with hyperactivity and impulsive behavior. ADHD is commonly treated with stimulants, but is a complex disorder that is unique to the individual patient. This can sometimes can make it difficult to make recommendations on treatments. However, there are alternative non-medication therapies that can be used alongside medication. If you or your child has ADHD, ask your doctor about these alternative treatments.
