William F. Young Jr., MD

William F. Young, Jr., MD, MSc, ELS is Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine as well as Tyson Family Endocrinology Clinical Professor and Chair, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism, & Nutrition at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

 

Dr. Young is the Immediate Past-President of The Endocrine Society, having served as President through June, 2013. He is the recipient of multiple education awards. In 2010, he received a named professorship—the highest academic distinction at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Young’s clinical research focuses on primary aldosteronism and pheochromocytoma. He has published more than 210 articles on endocrine hypertension and adrenal and pituitary disorders. He has presented at over 250 national and international meetings and he has been an invited visiting professor for more than 100 medical institutions.
