Susan Y. Chon, MD

Dr. Chon earned her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine. She then completed her Internal Medicine internship and Dermatology residency at Stanford University Hospital. She has been faculty in the Departments of Dermatology at Stanford University and UCLA. She is now currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

She sees patients at the Cancer Prevention Clinic and the Melanoma and Skin Center at MD Anderson for both skin cancer screening and ongoing treatment and surveillance for skin cancers and melanoma. Her research interests include the prevention and early detection of skin cancers as well as education in preventing skin cancers. She also treats the cutaneous toxicities of targeted therapies for cancer patients.

She is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She sees patients for skin cancer screenings, as well as those who have had skin cancers or melanomas. Her research interests include the prevention and early detection of skin cancers and the cutaneous toxicities of targeted therapies for cancer patients.
