Christopher O. Ruud, MD

Christopher O. Ruud, MD, breast cancer specialist with Austin Cancer Centers, has practiced medical oncology for more than 25 years. His major area of focus is tailoring treatment to the survivor with breast and lung cancer. Dr. Ruud received his medical education and completed his residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ruud completed Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowships at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Ruud also taught at Texas Tech and Texas A&M medical schools for more than 15 years. Dr. Ruud is actively involved in developing the new Austin Cancer Centers Breast Clinic. “I am pleased to be working with the innovative team of doctors at Austin Cancer Centers because we share a common goal to improve breast cancer care,” Dr. Ruud said. “My personal mission is to work with a multi-specialty group of doctors to combine talents and tailor treatment for the cancer patient."
