Purpose of Orajel Mouth & Canker Sore
The Orajel Mouth & Canker Sore products are non-prescription medications that are used to temporarily treat pain associated with mouth sores and canker sores.
Orajel Mouth Sore Gel works by blocking the nerves in the tooth from sending pain signals to the brain, helps decrease inflammation and keeps the area clean.
Orajel Medicated Mouth Sore Swabs and Orajel Film-Forming Canker Sore Gel work by blocking the nerves near the sore from sending pain signals to the brain.
Orajel Antiseptic Mouth Sore Rinse works by removing dead and damage tissue from the area whichs helps speed up the healing process.

Contents flammable, keep away from fire or flame. Avoid smoking during application and until product has dried.*
Allergy Alert: do not use if you’ve ever had an allergic reaction to any ingredients above including other local anesthetics such as procaine, butacaine, benzocaine, or other “caine” anesthetics
When using this product, do not swallow.
Do not use:
- more than directed
- for longer than 7 days unless directed by a physician or dentist
- avoid eye contact with product
Stop use and consult your physician if
- conditions worsen
- symptoms persist for more than 7 days
- swelling, rash or fever develop
Keep out of reach of children.
In case of an overdose or allergic reaction, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Directions
Orajel Mouth Sore Gel
Cut open tip of tube on score mark
Do not use if tip is cut prior to opening
adults and children 2 years of age and over
- apply a small amount of product to the cavity and gums surrounding the teeth. Use no more than 4 times a day or as directed by a physician or dentist
children under 12 years of age
- should be supervised by adult when using this product
children under 2 years of age
- consult a physician or dentist
Orajel Film-Forming Canker Sore Gel
cut open tip of tube on score mark
do not use if tube tip is cut prior to opening
do not peel off protective film
dry affected area and apply with cotton swab or finger
allow gel to dry 30-60 seconds into protective film
adults and children 2 years of age and over
- use no more than 4 times a day
children under 12 years of age
- should be supervised by adult when using this product
children under 2 years of age
- consult a physician or dentist

hold swab with solid white tip down
bend and snap open swab tip with the colored rings
apply product to affected area
discard swab after application
adults and children 2 years of age and over

adults and children 2 year of age and older
- swish ½ capful around the mouth over affected area for at least 1 minute and then spit out
- use no more than 4 times a day after meals or at bedtime or as directed by a physician or dentist
children under 12 years of age

Other Information About Orajel Mouth & Canker Sore
- do not use if product packaging is torn, cut or otherwise damaged
- do not use if tube tip is cut before opening
- do not use if imprinted bottle seal is broken or missing before opening
