Purpose of Biotene

Biotene toothpaste and toothpaste gel are over-the-counter medications used to prevent cavities for those with dry mouth. It also aids in the prevention in dental cavities.

 

Active Ingredients

sodium monofluorophosphate (0.14% w/v fluoride ion)

 

Inactive Ingredients

PDF Dry Mouth: sorbitol, Glycerin, Water, Silica, Xylitol, Hydrated Silica, Isoceteth-20, Poloxamer 188, Cellulose Gum, Flavor, Sodium Benzoate, Mutanase, Lactoperoxidase, Potassium Thiocyanate, Glucose Oxidase, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Lysozyme, Lactoferrin, Dextranase, Chlorophyllin-Copper Complex, Calcium Lactate. Contains milk and egg derivatives.

Fresh Mint Original: sorbitol, Glycerin, Calcium Pyrophosphate, Water, Hydrated Silica, Xylitol, Silica, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Isoceteth-20, Cellulose Gum, Flavor, Sodium Benzoate, Lactoperoxidase, Potassium Thiocyanate, glucose Oxidase, Lysozyme, Lactoferrin, Calcium Lactate. Contains milk and egg derivatives.

Gentle Mint: sorbitol, glycerin, Water, Silica, Xylitol, Hydrated Silica, Isoceteth-20, Poloxamer 188, Cellulose Gum, Flavor, Sodium Benzoate, Lactoperoxidase, Potassium Thiocyanate, Glucose Oxidase, Lysozyme, Lactoferrin, Calcium Lactate, Blue 1. Contains milk and egg derivatives.

 

Biotene FDA Warning

For children under 12 years of age, ask a dentist or physician before using Biotene paste or gel.

Keep out of reach of children.

In case of overdose or if you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away (1-800-222-1222).

Directions

Adults and children over 12 years of age:

  • Apply toothpaste onto toothbrush.
  • Thoroughly brush teeth after meals or at least twice daily for best results.

Pediatric Use

For children under 12 years of age, ask a dentist or physician before using Biotene paste or gel.
