Azilect

Azilect is a prescription medication used to treat Parkinson's disease. Azilect belongs to a group of drugs called monoamine oxidase (MAO) type B inhibitors. The exact way Azilect works for Parkinson's disease is unknown, but it is thought to work by increasing dopamine levels in the body.

Azilect comes in tablet form and is usually taken by mouth, once daily, with or without food.

Common side effects of Azilect include joint pain, depression, and flu syndrome.
