Dementia Health Center

People with moderate or advanced dementia typically need round-the-clock care and supervision to prevent them from harming themselves or others. They also may need assistance with daily activities such as eating, bathing, and dressing. It is helpful to post notes with important information around in order to help the individual remember. Maintaining an active lifestyle can also help individuals with dementia keep from digressing.

As dementia continues to debilitate the individual, more assistance will be needed. The level of care may reach the point where it is overwhelming. If this occurs it may be necessary to bring in additional assistance or place the individual in an assisted living home.
