Influenza symptoms can start quickly and a person will usually start to feel sick about 1 - 7 days after being exposed to the virus.
Because the flu spreads easily, it can affect a large group of people in a short amount of time.
The first symptom of influenza is a fever between 102 and 106 °F.
Other common symptoms of influenza can include:
- Body aches
- Chills
- A Flushed Face
- Lack of energy
- Nausea and vomiting
- Dizziness
Sometimes other symptoms can occur such as:
- Sore throat
- Sneezing
- Runny nose
- Dry cough
Most symptoms should go away in 4 - 7 days, however sometimes a cough and fatigue can last for a few weeks.
