No More UTIs
Okay, so cranberry juice may not be the sexiest food to throw on your partner, but it could prevent a urinary tract infection! UTIs occur when harmful bacteria enters parts of the urinary tract, like the bladder. The result? Painful urination and a constant urge to go. Luckily, a glass of cranberry a day can keep UTIs away! Cranberries are thought to prevent bacteria from adhering to host cells in the urinary tract. Even easier, prevent UTIs by peeing immediately after sex. Because intercourse can push harmful bacteria up the vagina, urinating essentially "flushes things out." Finally, know that if you're using a spermicide you may be more prone to UTIs. If this becomes a problem for you, talk to your doctor about an alternate form of birth control. See, you can avoid UTIs without avoiding sex!
