Theraflu Nighttime Severe Cold and Cough relieves symptoms due to a cold including, minor aches and pains, minor sore throat pain, headache, nasal and sinus congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose of throat, itchy, watery eyes due to hay fever, cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation and temporarily reduces fever.

It is a single product containing 3 medications: diphenhydramine, phenylephrine, and acetaminophen.

Diphenhydramine belongs to a group of drugs called antihistamines. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Phenylephrine is in a class of medications called nasal decongestants. It works by reducing swelling of the blood vessels in the nasal passages. Acetaminophen belongs to a group of drugs called analgesics. These work to reduce pain and fever. 

This medication comes in powder packets and is dissolved in 8 oz. hot water. It should be sipped while hot and full contents should be consumed within 10-15 minutes.

Common side effects of Theraflu Multi-Symptom Severe Cold include drowsiness, nervousness, and dizziness.
