Purpose of Sudafed
Sudafed Congestion, 12-Hour, and 24-Hour are over-the-counter medications used to treat nasal congestion and pressure due to the common cold, hay fever, or other upper respiratory allergies.
Active Ingredients
Sudafed Congestion: pseudoephedrine HCl 30 mg
Sudafed 12 Hour: pseudoephedrine HCl 120 mg
Sudafed 24 Hour: pseudoephedrine HCl 240 mg
Inactive Ingredients
Sudafed Congestion: carnauba wax, colloidal silicon dioxide, D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake, FD&C red #40 aluminum lake, FD&C yellow #6 aluminum lake, iron oxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, pregelatinized starch, shellac, sodium starch glycolate, talc, titanium dioxide
Sudafed 12 Hour: candelilla wax, FD&C blue no. 1 aluminum lake, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, propylene glycol, shellac, talc, titanium dioxide
Sudafed 24 Hour: cellulose, cellulose acetate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, povidone, sodium chloride, and titanium dioxide
Sudafed FDA Warning
Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product.

- trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland
When using this product do not exceed recommended dose.
- nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occur
- symptoms do not improve within 7 days or occur with a fever
If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.
Keep out of reach of children.
In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away (1-800-222-1222).
Directions
Sudafed Congestion:
For adults and children 12 years and over:
- Take 2 tablets every 4 to 6 hours.
- Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Sudafed 12-Hour:
For adults and children 12 years and over:
- Take 1 tablet every 12 hours.
- Do not take more than 2 tablets in 24 hours.
Sudafed 24-Hour:
For adults and children 12 years and over:
- Swallow one whole tablet with water every 24 hours.
- Do not exceed one tablet in 24 hours.
- Do not divide, crush, chew, or dissolve
- The tablet may not completely dissolve and may be seen in the stool (this is normal).
Pediatric Use
Sudafed Congestion:
For children ages 6 to 11 years:
- Take 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours.
- Do not take more than 4 tablets in 24 hours.
For children under 6 years, do not use this product.
Sudafed 12-Hour:
For children under 12 years, do not use this product.
Sudafed 24-Hour:
For children under 12 years, do not use this product.

Sudafed Congestion:
- Store at room temperature between 20 - 25°C (68 - 77°F).
- Do not use if carton or blister unit is opened or broken.

Sudafed 12-Hour:
- Store at room temperature between 20 - 25°C (68 - 77°F). Protect from light

- Each tablet contains 10 mg sodium.
- Store at room temperature between 15° to 25°C (59° to 77°F) in a dry place.
- Do not use if carton is opened or if individual blister seals are broken or opened.
