With today’s technology, you may find your workday lasts much longer than a typical 9-to-5.This can add stress to your life, which can lead to insomnia, anxiety, depression, irritability, headaches, digestive issues and focus problems. This stress may also lead to obesity or heart disease if you turn to eating, drinking or smoking to cope. Sharon Melnick, PhD, a business psychologist and author of Success Under Stress told Forbes Magazine her tips for de-stressing at work. Dr. Melnick recommends taking a deep breath, eliminating interruptions, sleeping well and eating right, and scheduling small breaks throughout the day.
