The arrival of spring might be a welcome break from the harsh weather of this past winter, but the season’s change isn’t always good news for those who are sensitive to certain allergens. Seasonal allergies, known as allergic rhinitis and more commonly as hay fever, affect approximately 20 percent of the US population, and certain localities are more prone to a high pollen count than others.
