Here’s What You Need to Know About Autism

What Is Autism?

Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) or Autism comprise neurological and developmental disorders that begin early in childhood, generally before age 3, and last throughout a person's life.

ASD affects the normal development of the brain in the areas of social interaction, communication skills and cognitive function. With this being said, individuals with autism typically have difficulties in verbal and nonverbal communication, social interactions, and leisure or play activities.
