Limit Your Sodium Intake

The American Heart Association recommends a daily limit of 1,500 mg of sodium. Make sure to check food labels for the amount of sodium they contain. Lowering systolic and diastolic blood pressure can greatly decrease your risk of stroke and heart disease.
