Mark Bans, D.C.

Dr. Mark J. Bans is a Licensed Chiropractor and Applied Clinical Nutritionist currently residing and practicing in Austin, Texas.

Dr. Bans received his undergraduate Bachelors of Science degree in PsychoBiology from Pepperdine University and his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Western States Chiropractic College. He has practiced Chiropractic since 1991 and believes in a holistic approach to the body -- that dis-ease is often a result of an imbalance in the body's normal function and energy. This imbalance can be due to an individual or combination of causes related to the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ones being.

Dr. Bans believes that in the world we currently live in our bodies are constantly subjected to all sorts of toxins and stress, and because of the nutritional deficiencies associated with the modern lifestyle and the modern world that we live in, that our bodies no longer have all the necessary building blocks for optimal functioning and healing. So while he advocates and has been exposed to many different kinds of alternative healing techniques, he believes that without the proper diet and nutritional supplementation to help bring the body back into balance, that an uphill battle is constantly being fought. Dr. Bans therefore believes in helping to restore the body's basic foundation and building blocks nutritionally, while then employing other healing methods. In this manner the body has the ability to reach its ultimate healing potential for overall health and well-being.
