John Volpi, MD

Dr. Volpi clinical interests include the evaluation of hospitalized patients and outpatients with cerebrovascular disease, such as ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke as well as the critical care of patients with other neurological diseases. His primary clinical and research interests are in the management and prevention of ischemic stroke and the critical care of patients with neurological illnesses, such as epilepsy, intracerebral hemorrhage, and nervous system infections.



Dr. Volpi is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Texas who received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine.  He completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Volpi is committed to improving stroke prevention through public awareness, and he has actively served in community outreach programs as a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Stroke Association.
