David Wong, MD

Dr. Wong did his college education at Northwestern University, medical school at The Ohio State University and specialty training at George Washington University in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Wong founded to create the transparent up front pricing marketplace for consumers to purchase their healthcare services.

Early on, Dr. Wong realized that one of the biggest obstacles to controlling costs in healthcare was that no one knew the price -- especially the most important components: both doctor and patient. As he developed SnapHealth he found out that much of what contributes to the cost of care is revenue cycle management -- for every dollar a doctor collects, they spend out 30 cents of it trying to collect it. By making the connection between doctor and patient more direct and with price transparency, patients can shop for their care and costs can come down.
