Lidex is used topically to treat itching, redness and other symptoms of a variety of skin conditions. Wash or soak the affected area thoroughly before applying the medicine, unless it irritates you.

Lidex is a prescription medication used to relieve the itching, redness, dryness, crusting, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort of various skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. Lidex belongs to a group of drugs called topical corticosteroids which work by suppressing the over-active immune system.

Lidex comes in solution form. It usually is applied to the affected area(s) 2 to 4 times a day.

Common side effects include skin burning, itching, and dryness.
