Mammogram awareness program provides free resources

(RxWiki News) As you probably know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And the US Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) Office of Women's Health is offering free materials to help spread the word about the importance of having regular mammograms.

The Pink Ribbon Sunday program is devoted to saving lives by helping to educate women learn about mammography in their churches and through community events.

Developed by FDA Office of Women's Healthy, the education program emphasizes the vital importance of receiving regular mammograms. This screening helps to detect breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable and curable stages.

To receive your free Pink Ribbon Sunday resources, simply click on the link below. Mammography Information Cards and Fact Sheets are available in both English and Spanish.

You might want to organize a "Pink" concert, luncheon or seminar at your church or community center. What about a mobile mammography event?
