(RxWiki News) If you or your family enjoy a bit of Frosted Mini-Wheats in the morning, it's time to take a look at the box. It may contain small metal fragments.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has announced a voluntary recall by Kellogg's for select boxes of the cereal.
"Check your Kellogg's Mini-Wheats boxes."
Some boxes of the Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size may contain fragments of metal mesh, the FDA announced.
The fragments came from a broken manufacturing part. The only Kellogg's products affected are Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size Original and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the "Best If Used Before" date.
If you have one of these boxes or any concerns about your products, you should contact Kellogg's directly on their website or by calling 1-800-962-1413. The line is open from 8 am to 6 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
