Neutrophils are the most abundant type of white blood cells in the body. Bands are immature neutrophils.

Bands are measured as a percentage. The normal range for bands is 0-5%.

What the results mean

When levels are higher than normal, it is usually due to a severe infection. It indicates that your body is trying to fight off an infection.
