Cortizone 10

Cortizone 10 is an over-the-counter medication used to treat itching associated with minor skin irritations, inflammation, and rashes.

The skin can become irritated by a variety of triggers, some of the most common triggers include:

• eczema
• insect bites and stings
• soaps
• seborrheic dermatitis
• detergents
• poison ivy, oak or sumac
• external anal and genital itching
• cosmetics
• jewelry
• psoriasis

Do not use:

• if you have vaginal discharge, consult a physician (Anti-Itch Cream, Anti-Itch Cream Plus, Anti-Itch Ointment, Intensive Healing Cream, Easy Relief Applicator Anti-Itch Liquid, Cooling Relief Gel)
• to treat diaper rash, consult a physician

When using this product:

• avoid eye contact
• do not use more than directed unless directed by a physician
• do not put directly into the rectum by any manner including fingers, device or applicator
• do not use any other hydrocortisone product unless directed by a physician

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

• condition worsens
• symptoms persist for more than 7 days
• symptoms clear up and occur again within a few days
• rectal bleeding occurs

Flammable (Cortizone 10 Quick Shot only):

• do not use near heat, flame or while smoking
• avoid long term storage above 104°F (40° C)
• do not puncture or incinerate (contents are under pressure)
• do not store at temperatures above above 120°F (49° C)

Keep out of reach of children.

If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away (1-800-222-1222).

For itching of skin irritation, inflammation, and rash:

For adults and children over 2 years old, apply to affected area no more than 3-4 times a day.

For external anal and genital itching (do not use Intensive Healing Eczema Lotion, Easy Relief Applicator Anti-Itch Liquid, Quick Shot Continuous Spray and Hydratensive Anti-Itch Lotions for genital or anal itching):

Adults and children over 12 years old:

• When practical, clean the affected area with mild soap and water and rinse thoroughly.
• Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or soft cloth before applying.
• Apply to affected area no more than 3-4 times a day

Poison Ivy Relief Pads:

For adults and children 2 years of age and older: 

• Apply to affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.
• Select one Snapplicator and snap to release product through pad top.
• Gently dab on affected area, then rub product into skin until thoroughly absorbed.
