Besifloxacin is a prescription medication used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis (pinkeye), an infection of the eye. Besifloxacin belongs to a group of drugs called fluoroquinolones. These work by killing the bacteria that cause infection. 

This medication comes as an eye drop and is usually applied into the eyes 3 times a day for 7 days. 

Common side effects of besifloxacin include eye redness, pain, and itching.

Besifloxacin can also cause blurred vision. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how besifloxacin affects you.
