Help Build the World's Largest Medication Encyclopedia.
RxWiki offers a unique opportunity for licensed pharmacists to create, edit and participate in the first professionally created, consumer-focused health-related Wiki. RxWiki is a pharmacist-community endeavor; its articles will be publicly accessible and distributed in accordance with our open content license, and it will be constructed by licensed pharmacists.
Our goal is to create the largest medication encyclopedia the world has ever seen. We hope the encyclopedia will be distributed widely through electronic and print media, in accordance with our open content license. Consequently, we expect the work of our contributors to receive worldwide attention.
Membership is free, of course. But the success of this endeavor depends on our ability to attract and retain professionally qualified contributors.
Benefits to Pharmacists
As a contributing editor on RxWiki you will be helping RxWiki build the world's largest and most current repository of medication information. You will be able to share your knowledge with not only your patients but every consumer who accesses this site. You will also be able to create a personal biography page that can be linked from every page you write or edit. This page can hold as little or as much information about you or your practice that you wish to share.
How You Help RxWiki Succeed
RxWiki will only succeed through the collective efforts of pharmacists such as yourselves, and while it will be professionally rewarding, most importantly you will be providing a resource to improve care. RxWiki offers a unique opportunity to create, edit and participate in the first pharmacist-powered, consumer-focused, medication-related web site. The wiki model is reliant upon the knowledge and integrity of its contributors, and their willingness to adhere to the site's publishing guidelines. The site is monitored regularly each day to ensure that new information conforms to established standards and that it is accurate.
We understand that the intention of all contributors is to provide completely accurate information for our consumer audience. Contributing pharmacists are not liable for how information is used by consumers and users of the site
